Not had a look at reviews but includes extra batteries and charger

Only a handful I would consider for the budget (going from independent & user reviews):

Larger, SLR-type (refurb):
]Fujifilm FinePix S5700 = ~£70-75 delivered (worth waiting for it if out of stock). Recently, these were selling brand new for ~£90 delivered from Tesco & Jessops. If you get it from Play (snowtiger's 1st link), use this ]£5 voucher & get ]4% Quidco.

Compact type:
- ]Casio Exilim EX-Z1080 = £80 (at Comet) + ]3.5% Quidco
- Or a refurb model from ]Fujifilm Store: The F40fd, F45fd, F47fd & F50fd models in particular.
- ]Canon Powershot A580 = £95

Always read independent reviews before purchasing. Here are some reputable review sites:

trustedreviews.com/art…=10
megapixel.net/htm…php
pcmag.com/cat…asp
photoxels.com/
dcviews.com/cam…htm (has review links)
or Google the camera.

P.S. If you want to save a bit, these aren't too bad for the price....

Sony DSC-S730 = £67

]Samsung S760 for £50 // ]Review - same as umanga's suggestion, w/o the charger & batteries, but £15 lower. Samsung's using AA batteries will require a charger & batteries, but I'm sure you can get a better set for £15 from elsewhere.

]Samsung Digimax L85 for under £60,with a Li-On rechargeable battery & charger.
