For burning?

Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-115D is an alright burner - so I've heard

I have a Samsung (TSSTCorp) drive which is good. Can't remember the model number but it's the cheapest (or second cheapest) SATA dvd-rw drive on ebuyer (well, as of last month when i purchased it)

Had another Samsung before that one which died and that was good. Would recommend any samsung - just google the model number for 360 burning testemonials before you buy it

Spend the money on buying the games legally instead. Problem solved!

It wouldn't solve the problem of damaged originals, such as the common disc circles issue.

I've used a variety of different drives and they've all worked fine.

I have owned consoles of various types since 1991 and never ONCE had a problem with a disk and never ONCE had to "backup" a game.

It's common knowledge that "backup" is simply another word for piracy

It is, I won't argue with that, and I'm sure in this case it is too. I was just throwing a legitimate reason to create and use a backup of an original you own. The issue was even featured on Watchdog so it would be a "problem solved"!

Pioneer is optimal but most modern DL burners work for this I think.

You just need a DVD burner capable of burning DL and which can comply with the DVD-ROM booktype.

Just because it didn't happen to you doesn't mean the problem doesn't exist. I've never had RROD but it's still a problem.

I have had 1 game ruined by scratching a circle into it after I paid £30 for it. What do MS do about it? Charge you for a replacment!! So I modded 1 of my 360's and happily play pirate games without a shread of guilt

Thanks guys.

Does anyone know where I can find a cheap DL drive from?

You can get Pioneer drives for under £20 in quite a few places.

Maybe look at computer stores local to you if there are any.
