    right guys

we are off to Ireland next month and im looking to find the best deal for my Euro's

i want to change approx £400 so wheres the best place to do this, obviously weighing up the exchange rate and any charge made to do so?

Any one recently seen any good deals?

i found the post office dont charge a fee and offer 1.39% giving me approx 557 Euro's for my £400, is this good??

    thank you

Its ok, and is commission free buy back also. I always go to marks and spencers.

Found post office to be good with exchange rates & no fee either. Depending on the type of account, your bank may also offer good deals.

    thanks guys

just looked at thomas coo, similar price there, 560 Euros for £402, no fee 1.39%

    so looks average?

exchange rate is pretty cack at mo, i tend to go for the 1.41% but its peak time now so its been 1.39% for about 3-4 weeks. Get them when ya can (getting mine today) otherwise they could go further down. BTW if your going to Dublin, its WELL expensive since they have changed to the Euro! Robbers, but have an amazing time chickaroonie x

M&S I always find is the highest yet £5 delievery. Usually they have a similar rate in store so can try there and save on the postage fee

Its expensive for tourists:whistling: , dont be afraid to go off the track a little, research loads and youll find some bargains in Dublin, especially 2for 1 meals etc

    wooohooooo :-D :-D

xe.com worth trying or take a Nationwide debit / credit card for best rate AND no chance of excess cash.

i only have an Electron card?

Worth calling em n asking rate but I don't think it'd be amazing.
Amicus Diamond cards do great deals as well, but salary req to get one is through the roof.

    Try this site

If you exchange with Saga I don't think they expect you to make it back.:giggle:

And is it only for over 50's?

Fantastic rates online, and you can order online & pick up at the airport

Don't use them face to face though, order online 1st (better rate)

Sorry for the late reply. That rate is for everyone, but be prepared for emails or mail advertising holidays for you lol. And i'm only 34 :?

I'm not sure, sorry. I hardly ever bring any money back with me. I also seem to work out how much i need luckily or i just end up spending it anyway. The site might tell you about any buy back deals.

My advice would be to take plenty of money, and whatever you have left, spend buying me the biggest present you can possibly bring back with you

I always use Saga, next day Special Delivery included at no extra charge over £300.

Rate is 1.4262 at the moment.

It is charged by Saga, but is actually sent out from Travelex, always arrives the next day, never fails.

    Enjoy Dublin.. ;-)

Just order via Travelex online & pick up from the airport. That way your guranteed it will be there, and can safely pick it up at your leisure
