how do these compare to this … how do these compare to this deal?http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95458

It's a bit like comparing Kia to Mercedes, if you're a "a car's a car, it gets me from a to b, why would I spend that much on one" (or "a TV's a TV...") kind of guy then the Tosh is a good deal and will give you a lot of TV for the money. However, if you're a man who likes the "best" then there really is no comparison.

you wont go wrong here, google clearancebargains-uk and you will find some nice ones on his e-bay shop, ex argos stock

No - they will only match with the price displayed instore.

The Panasonic mentioned above is by all reports an excellent tv but it is £600 if you include delivery.

I picked up the 37" Toshiba package last night from Empire direct - not too popular with the missus at the moment :whistling: If you go for an ED telly don't forget Quidco (£9.50 for the Toshiba package)

also if u pick it up and u still get the 10% and quidco?

also back to the price match question so u mean in store price in ED?

    cause they have stores right?

If you pick up you still get Quidco - all you've done is have a different delivery option. You may have to wait until the item is delvered to the store - a couple of days. But you save £25 quid delivery. One thing that might be worth trying is....when I picked up the tv last night the salesman said the ED stores will match the ED Internet price, whether they would match the price using the 10% off is another thing but you can always ask. If you buy directly from the store you won't get quidco tho...

ED do have stores - they are listed here
    empiredirect.co.uk/con…es/

If you apply to JL for a price match they will ask you for the name and address of the store which had the item cheaper. They send someone to the store to check if the item is on display and the displayed price  . They will not match online prices.

Only watched it for about an hour so far and I still need to fiddle with the settings. The inbuilt tuner is excellent, sound better than expected, can't see any problems yet with the blacks or motion blur. The only real negative thing I have to say is that you start to lose some of the colour if you're viewing more that about 30 degrees angle to facing it straight on...

I do know one thing - unlikely to get a branded 37" of this quality at this price elsewhere
