Best Free Video Editing Software?

Windows movie maker is just not cutting it for me its useless. Can anyone recommend a free video editor (no watermark free trials).

get a trial of adobe premiere

I use Sony Vegas. Quite good imo

Sony you have to pay for sadly Downloading the trial maybe its not watermarked...

Depends on what you want to do with the video. If its basic cut/paste the something like VirtualDub will do it. As for adding effects and such then you'd most probs have to go for either a trial version or a pay version of something. TBH if Windows Movie Maker isnt quite doing the job your after then id look at more specialised proggies... which like i said, come at a cost.

Thanks for the advise guys, the problem I have with movie maker is that I split the clips up but when I export the movie all the splits are in the wrong place! Very annoying.

Vista won't let me install it due to local privileges, logged in as an administrator and still doesn't work, the days I wish laptops came with XP not vista or win7 .
