Best Gaming PC for around £850

It's time to get a new PC. I would prefer a pre-built. I have built my current one, and have had some headaches with it, but I'll keep an open mind.

Don't need a monitor or any peripherals, and don't need an OS.

Will be using it for playing, recording, and rendering games. Basically for uploading to YouTube and streaming on Twtich, and editing in between.

Was looking for one that would include NVIDIA Shadowplay (for recording) but I heard this has now been stopped? I might be wrong, so feel free to comment on that and set the record straight.

    I appreciate all your input.

Build you own. Pre-built rigs are always a rip off mate.

Cheers, but was really looking for actual suggestions. I need opinions on the best specs for that price.

Buildapc on Reddit is a great place to ask, it's full of people who know exactly what they're talking about and they helped me build mine for about 70% of what a prebuilt would've cost me

    That's a pretty big saving...

That's the kind of saving you can expect if you build your own...as long as you don't mind illegitimate Microsoft Windows...

    Not everyone pirates Windows, fool.

Building your own is much easier than you think.

Many pc builders buy in bulk so they have pre set items which may include a crap PSU or dubious motherboard. Alternatively sites that offer a full control over all components, eg cyber power or pcspecialist are much more expensive.

If you want to reduce how much to built you can buy prebuilt motherboard cpu and ram bundles, which you just need to screw on to a case and plug in some wires to the psu. Oem Windows copy is about 15 quid on eBay, which is another place where pc builders get a big uplift profit from.

For your applications esp the video rendering you probably need a top level i7 processor and 16gb ram, esp for hd video. A top tier graphics card like 1070 and a decent ssd. I would look on eBay as the retailers on there sell complete PCs with generally no weak points in their build (although happy to be corrected on that by others). So we're looking at prices of around 1000 on eBay for your min specs without Windows.

freshtec on eBay, ccl or PC specialist. aim for i5-6600k with either rx480 or gtx 1060/1070, and an ssd. make sure it has a branded PSU, ideally bronze or better. you'll save a bit by not needing os
