Lets just say security type of work.

Astrolux S2 from banggood using code 2016FNL. About £17, then buy Liitokala Li-100 charger around £4 and a couple of good 18650 batteries. That'll easily be all you need.

Or get the S3 and 14500 batteries if you want smaller. Still use the code.

If you have a costco card they sell Feit torches for a resonable price. 1000lm for around £18 or twin pack of 750lm for £20ish. Amazon stock the 750 for a bity more

phil the costco ones run on d cells, very big and expensive , when you say security im assuming youd like it to be very low light output for close work and also be able to put out a good beam distance too , id go for the nitecore ea45s that was on hukd about 2 weeks ago , runs on 4xaa cell batterys which you can find in most parts of the earth , it also pushes out a whopping 1000 lumens of light and it strobes at a 1000 lumen too , more than enough to assist visitors on site etc it cost me around £33 and arrived by courier in about 6 days

comes with a belt holster and wrist lanyard too btw

The 1000lm is huge and heavy and even though I love them I think the 750 Lm could be a bit bigger than op is after

I have the feit and do agree however I find the slightest shake and it changes mode. Don't think the batteries fit properly.

I will have a look at it. It seems like the spring isn't strong enough for the d batteries I have had to put a few washers in between to improve the contact. At the end of the day though it was only £15 so may just buy a new one lol.

I have a LED Lenser P7.2 and it's great, pretty sure it cost me under £30. Get yourself some decent rechargeable batteries though as they go through them fairly quickly!

No doubt, the Lenser v's other brand names v's cheap imports debate will follow.......................

barrel , using washers will increase the resistance in the circuit , try soldering a piece of desoldering wick up inside the middle of the spring that should decrease the resistance and give you even more power , itll also go through batteries faster , google for led lighting hacks

or get a refund from costco since its their main selling point , ive had led lenser torches too btw and the lense cracks from a 1 metre drop
