Best hard drive expansion for the Acer Revo One RL85 mini pc?

Found 18th Sep 2015
Just purchased the following Acer Revo One RL85 Mini PC and would like to upgrade the hard drive. Can I just put an SATA / SSD drive into the bay ports? Any help would be great.

If you are able to connect it, it would work. However according to the Amazon page for that model of hard drive, it is 15mm in height. A standard 2.5" is 9.5mm. A lot of 2.5" 2TB drives other than the Samsung M9T are either 12.5mm and 15mm which an issue for PS4 owners looking to upgrade, since a thicker hard drive won't fit in it's caddy. Having a look at this video, that Toshiba drive would fit into the Revo One caddy. However once the caddy with the hard drive in it goes back into the Revo One, the thickness may be an issue. It's hard to say for certain but it looks pretty snug fit so the extra few mm in height may prevent the drive from fitting into the SATA connection of the Revo One. If you want 2TB, you could do what a lot of PS4 owners do and get this 2TB Seagate Portable. You can dismantle the case and inside will be a Samsung M9T which is 9.5mm in height and should fit into the Revo One without any issue regarding thickness of drive.
