Avoid websites, they sell your details and you get spammed with irrelevant and fake job offers. Get yourself down to some agencies

    thanks

i used directgov everyday when i was looking but found my job by looking on the company's website, lots of jobs are advertised in their own webpages, rather than paying to put them on jobsites, just my opinion, good luck

If you are looking for a job in education or research try jobs.ac.uk.
But as angel502xx said go direct to company sites if you know who you want to work for.

One that worked for me was tailored to my profession (linea resourcing)
Totaljobs & fish4jobs were a waste of space in my experience.

The typical brain surgeon response I have come to expect from this site.

I am not sure what field you are in. I am in finance and have used efinacialcareers.co.uk and cityjobs.com with a good strike rate.

Indeed.com have all the listing from places like Reed, Monster, Totaljobs and more all on one website. It doesn't have the Jobcentre ones on it though.

I find Reed recruitment to have the best layout and search facilities. They also tell you the amount of applications for each post which is useful.
