www.jobstoday.co.uk is a pretty good one for local jobs in the northwest (where I found my job)

where abouts in the north west you looking? check out county council websites, usually a few IT jobs...

lol, I mean no offence by this but there's a certain amount of irony when someone looking to work in IT is having problems finding a good job website

Hope you find something suitable - as I said, no offence meant!

A lot of AD/NDS stuff is contracted these days, so you may want to go to various agencies to see what's there.

searchconsultancy.co.uk/con…asp

Might be a better angle to attack them with.

What do you currently have in MCPs/CNEs/etc ?

but got like 10 years in support experience

The fact you only have 2 MCPs means you're going to find it hard to get something perm unless you get your foot in the door.

Definitely think about agencies and look for contracts with the opportunity of becoming permanent.

The fact you only have 2 MCPs means you're going to find it hard

It's not that hard although being fully qualified does open up more doors. I'm not qualified yet and havn't found it hard to get jobs via my experiance, I do plan on doing my CCNA at some point but as long as your CV is good enough to get you an interview I find that from there being qualified or not tends to become a bit irrelevnat as long as you can answer any techincal questions they throw at you in interviews.

Thats something I did find this time - it seems more & more common to have a more formal technical exam section to an interview than a few years ago.

It all depends on what level you're looking to enter the industry I suppose. Like I said in the rest of the quote, it may be enough to get a foot in the door.
