Best place to buy 11+ papers and revision help.

we are starting to prepare for the 11+ revision and need some papers and revision guides, i have looked on whsmiths but they are very expensive. We have been advised the Nfer books are best can anyone advise on a less expensive place to buy these from.

thanks

Surely your school can provide some sample papers? Check amazon, ebay, etc etc?

You can find many good generic revision guides on the internet. BBC bitesize is a well known one. Probably would be best for you to read them and then make your own schedule to fit your individual circumstances.

thanks mr robin, unfortunatly school dont supply these for parents. i have checked ebay and there dosent seem to be many of the type im looking for. amazon have a few but they are much the same in price to other book shops.
im currently scanning google for free download test papers to tide us over until i find some dedicated books.

I had a similar problem, the books are expensive, but i did manage to find some free downloads. Take a look at www.happychild.org.uk, whilst not dedicated to 11+, if covers all areas of syllabus up to GCSE level, and provides many useful links. Takes a bit of patience to navigate, but i have found it very useful.

Have you tried The Works (in store)?

thanks :-D

hope it helps!!!

Edco have them, but to be honest they're not really that much cheaper than W H Smiths. They are a worthwhile investment though, both my kids worked their way through 2 papers a week, both passed and are now doing well at grammar school Good luck!
