Agree with Smallian that BigPockets would be a place to look for a refurbished laptop but you might want to check out the following thread that's on the go just now to see if its any good for you.

Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro £202.50 @ Bargain Crazy

For running Windows XP it would be perfect plus you would also get DVD writer as well, which isn't present on the other suggested laptop - only thing you might want to consider doing is increasing the memory of the laptop to at least one gigabyte to get it a bit more power if your going to be running multiple applications.

Have you also considered netbooks at all?

Looking at the BigPockets website here's a few more options to consider - note that both are refurbished and come with 1GB of RAM already present.

BigPockets.co.uk :: HP Compaq NC6220 Centrino 1.7Ghz - 1Gb - 60Gb - DVD-ROM/CDRW - Wireless WiFi - 14.1 inch TFT - Win XP Pro £189.99

BigPockets.co.uk :: IBM Thinkpad T43 Laptop Centrino 1.86Ghz - 1Gb - 40Gb - DVD/CD-RW - Wireless - 14.1 inch TFT - XP Pro £204.99

You might want to check out the other threads as well for computer deals that are on the go - IF your considering going down the route of getting a netbook there's a thread on the go about the Acer Aspire One netbook going for £150.00p at Asda (can post the link if you want) or alternatively there's the ASUS EEE PC 701SD going for £155.00p at Carphone Warehouse (again I can post you the link if you want).

Hopefully that's enough for you going down in the right direction mate and the rest of the members should be posting more info for you as well.

Cheers, Scotty Boy! :thumbsup:
