Best Place To Buy Matresses Please?

Both my kids need a new matress each but not sure where to buy from. Do bed places sell them seperately?? I need 1 single and 1 to fit a shorty bed.

Would rather look instore to feel the quality etc as the ones they have now were cheapish and can feel the springs.

Also do Ikea do standard sizes or just there own sizes?

    Thanks xx

We just bought a new mattress from Argos - loads of choice and with the user ratings you can find one that lots of people rate highly.

Thats where one of the ones we have is from - only a year old and springs starting to poke through. Im not sure if thats to be expected with a cheaper one?!? I will take a look though at the more expensive ones thanks

This one gets all good reviews, 4 star and 5 star:

Not the cheapest, but should last a bit longer. Unless the kids are jumping on the bed all the time?

EDIT - just seen that also comes with "Free 10.5 tog duvet and pillow set when you buy this item. Offer is included in pack, please note it will not show in your trolley." so your kids would get new pillows and duvets as well.

Thats a good price, looks nice. Repped!

    Even better after your edit!

    Thanks .

It's worth noting that it's a memory mattress - so it doesn't have springs to poke through - but my experience of memory foam (ours has a memory topper) is that we needed to air it out for a couple of days to get rid of the new mattress foamy-plasticy smell.

Most of the new foamy smell went in the first day just leaving the mattress on the bed with the window open but we took the sheet off after the first night and aired it for a second day and then it seemed to be okay.

Also, some mattresses come packed in tight plastic and take a day or two to gain their full proper size after unpacking. It wasn't a problem for ours but it's worth knowing that it isn't unusual for it to seem a little bit small on the bed for the first few days.

They aren't bad for price. They regularly have sales. In most cases you can choose the delivery date. Their customer services team keeps you up-to-date all the way through order and delivery.
