Best price for HD-DVDs

Hi there - I've just managed to get hold of a HD-DVD drive for my XBOX 360 and wondered if there were any other alternatives to Play.com for getting a good deal on HD-DVD movies?

the best deals i found so far are amazon.co.uk--> go to DVD section-->HD DVD subsction --> sort in ascending order of price -- there you can find several US sellers with wide range of HD DVDs and postage costs only £1.20.

total cost you will be paying around £12.75 for most of the DVDs

other option is HMV.co.uk (though not much selections) order in a batch of 2 with £3 voucher floating around.

other favourites are movietyme, choicesuk etc

also it's worth checking barnesandnoble.com/ for excellent HD DVD bargains

Don't forget! you can use ]http//ww…uk/ to find HD DVDs, just put "HD DVD" + the name of the film in the search box.

I'm also in the same boat...

I've found:

hmv.co.uk, expensive
play.com, moderate
sendit.com, moderate
axelmusic.com, great (£7.99 for Happy Gilmore, £12.49 for Clerks 2)

also CaimanUSA on amazon.co.uk has some great HD-DVD bargains - i picked up Corpse Bride of them for £11 and Chronos for £8.50 odd

anymore out there?

they are really good. also with 10% discount choicesuk have some good deals

HMV isn't that bad considering all their stock is in the UK and so you won't get the risk of any import tax. I have a student discount card as well knocking 10% off and then Quidco knocks another 10% which makes it around £13 delivered (I got V for Vendetta recently for £13).

I use ]MovieTyme. If you sign up to their newsletter you get a 50p off voucher and they occasionally send £1 vouchers to encourage buying HD-DVDs. Delivery took 5 weekdays (Ordered Sunday evening, arrived Saturday morning) and the prices you see are the prices you pay for including shipping!

www.lovefilm.com rent HD-DVDs.

Just thought it may be of interest to you. Especially with the three month trial code elsewhere on this site.

Ebay looks reasonable too for films. Can't belive Casino Royale is only on BluRay though
