I feel like getting a tablet pc for myself to make myself better!

Has anyone got a cheap alternative one? I've seen so many a pad, epad etc

I was just hoping to like take it to uni now and again to type a few notes or something, and give it to my dad so he can browse the net..

The max im looking for is £150ish but if the cheaper ones are just as good - please help me find one! =]

lol - what one are you getting?

The Asus eee 10" looks nice, just depends on pricing

As soon as Gingerbread comes out there will be loads of better ones imo, that's what I'm waiting for

None, i dont really see thepoint in these pad devices. I get the ebookreaders, but not the pads ans they arent Tablet PCs.

But at what it does there is nothing that rivals the Ipad and as has been said, until you see android devices based off of gingerbread you wont see anything that competes with the ipad at what it does (which as far as i can tell from using one and seeing people use them every day, it is a larger iphone without the phone).

6 months and you will get some devices that may give you some better options rather tahn the poorly rushed pads that you get at the moment

The issue is there just arent any pads on the market other than the Ipad, well that are actually worthwhile. you have the poorly made and rushed asian android 1.6 based tablets, the next tablet and the only one that offers any reasonable competition though pales is the samsung galaxy tab.

and i say this as someone who hates apple!
i wish i could recommend something that does the job (though im not sure what it is as ive said before) but at the moment there just isnt anything on the market.

Well I don't think you will find anything worth while at £150. Toshiba's Folio 100 is now out and the specs are pretty good for the £329 asking price. So might be worth a look.
