Best way to get notification of new e-mail.

I'm after some kind of notification of when a new e-mail comes in, I used to use Genie but that was years ago and I think you have to pay for it now. My mate was telling me about push e-mail that basically sends it to your phone but not sure how good it is or whether it's free?

Also some notification on my pc would be cool, I used to use yahoo messenger and that would play a tune through my speakers when I got an e-mail.

Mainly after something for a mobile phone though.

Thanks, think I can do it with yahoo messenger or Trillian anyway, mainly after some kind of notification on my phone whilst out and about. Just in case there's anything important.

You can also use web'n'walk with t-mobile. That way, the emails get sent to your phone too.
