Tell Me No Lies by John Pilger

S'appenin' brah?

You've excluded my recommendations for you, so i'm out!

I think you should read a dictionary and sharpen up on your vocabulary :whistling:

If you like thrillers try any of:

Harlen Coben, Robert Crais, Simon Kernick, JA Kerley, Michael Marshall, Lee Child, John Connolly. Michael Connelly,

For some black humour you should check out Colin Batemen and Christopher Brookmyre.

I could go on and on. Let me knew what kinda of genres you like and i will try and make some more definitive suggestions.

His Dark Materials Trilogy, The Road (Cormac McKarthy), Angels & Demons, I Am Legend. All great books!

+1,Have you read " One bullet away ,The making of a marine officer " by Nathaniel Fick ( Nate Fick) ?

How To Survive Identity Theft: Regain Your Money, Credit, And Reputation

David Holtzman

Currently reading The Book of Joby (Mark J Ferrari) a 'thought provoking' contemporary epic fantasy loosely based on the book of Job - quite a hefty read but i'm enjoying it so far
From amazon: without giving anything away, the book involves God and Lucifer having the "same old stupid bet" for the umpteen thousandth time, with this time Gods candidate being a boy called Joby. The bet involves Lucifer trying to corrupt the boy by any means so that he eventually foresakes God, whilst God cannot get involved.

Go for "The Greatest Show on Earth" by Richard Dawkins or even the "God Delusion"

Two great books.

Is this one of those threads that involves BG asking for recommendations then saying stuff like "oh, that's beneath me, I need to be challenged on a wide intellectual field" ?

Beano annual is cheap in Smiths

if you like fantasy books (as in wizardy, lord of the rings type thing but less heavy going) good authors are
terry goodkind, ithink theres about 10 in his series, wizards first rule is the first one
raymond feist, has loads series/sagas, that are all somehow interlinked but you can start at the start of a saga and not have to read any previous, but the very first one is called 'magician'
robert newcomb, theres 6 in his so far, the first one is 'the 5th sorceress' (quite brutal parts in those)
and the artimis fowl books, i think the author is eoin coiffer (not sure of spelling) are good, they are aimed at the harry potter age readers, but i found them more adult then i expected

Stranger in a strange land.
