As long as you had all the security enabled that you claimed on your policy and it was garaged also if that was claimed you should not have too much of a problem. Start digging out photos and reciepts to show the condition and how much you have spent to make sure you get the best price...

depends on insurance company could be a couple of weeks minimum, see i they cover you for rental of a vehicle on your policy

hit refresh im sure i seen it go by ..lolo

You'll need the crime number from the police when you get in touch with your insurers.

probably drag it out as long as possible in the hope of it being found

Have you checked the FS/FT forum yet? :whistling:

    What bike was it?

Was the bike tagged in any way? If not I suspect it will be stripped for parts........

TBH you are probably better off if it isn't recovered. Better a payout from the insurers than a partially stripped/damaged bike back....

Was probably lifted into the back of a van. Maybe ask the shops nearby if they saw anything.

Good luck and hope it gets sorted without too much grief...

report to the police if you havent already as the insurance company will want a crime reference number.

At least if it was only 2 months old then you should get a new replacement.

Yeah its all on cctv so shouldnt be any probs there, it wasnt tagged unfortunately, ive reported to police so hav ethe ref no. and just reported to insurance, would be great if I git it replaced with it being so new.

So annoyed and downhearted by the whole thing, am a new biker and I was loving it, back to square one now !

The first thing the insurance will ask is have you got all the keys so you may want to dig them out,

Tough luck matey, I would suggest for your new one that you buy a datatag kit and get it installed for you and a cat 1 alarm. Neither will stop it being stolen but it will put off any one just looking for quick getaways...

Don't let it bring you down hon, setbacks happen in life, its an awful thing, but you are fine so it'll all work out x x

I know how you feel, I had my bike stolen from outside a hotel in Dublin a few years back. That sinking feeling in the pit of the stomach is back just thinking about it. The way you look at the spot it was parked in and look to see if it has moved a few yards before the realisation sets in that it has actually been stolen..............

As previously stated, report it to the Police and then report it to your insurance. It shouldn't be too much hassle just very, very inconvenient. Expect about 4-6 weeks for a pay out, the wheels of motor vehicle insurance aren't as quick as those that are insured! Or as quick as the low life that nick them

My bike was never recovered so I received a payout less the excess, I was quite surprised that Norwich Union offered a very good price without any trouble. I would imagine valueing a bike that is only 2 months old shouldn't be too much trouble, list price would be nice.

Hope everything gets sorted quickly, I know how you feel. Keep shiny side up when you're back on the road.
