What is the make and model of the laptop, normally choosing a blank password as the new one removes the password.

you need to remove your cmos battery for about 1 minute

its a small metal battery like a watch battery,

edit: do you know your password?

the above will wipe it if ya don't know it

go into bios and disable password prompt normally under security options

It's a laptop so the same doesn't apply - laptops tend to have multiple batteries which are hidden or in some cases the password is now stored in ROM on business machines. As the person know the bios password it's not needed anyway.

Yeah I do know it I just can't seem to find the menu to delete it. When you turn it on it goes straight to BIOS so no buttons to press to get up a menu and when i type the password in it goes straight to the windows start up. and its a Samsung Q45 to the first person

that sounds more like a hdd password try putting a blank pwd there
