    Birmingham City Centre Car Parking

Im due to Birmingham tomorrow for a training course, near to the Mailbox. Dont know the area that well. I have to park my car somewhere near for the day and dont wish to pay a fortune for car parking. For example, Pallasades is £13.50 a day, the Mailbox itself even more.

Does anyone have anywhere recommended thats within about 5/10 minutes walk of the Mailbox for me to park my car tomorrow that wont break the bank?

curzon Street in Birmingham i believe its £3 all day, thats were my boys parked up when i was in b town a few weeks back, dunno where mailbox is or how long the walk would be tho brah.

    AFAIK it was only 3bills.

from memory Bullring is within walking distance to the mailbox....dont know the cost though...there maybe a park and ride which is cheaper

bullring is mega expensive, avoid it.

there's a £3.00 all day parking on the sherlock st (by the markets)...and from their to the mailbox should be a 15min walk max

Personally i would park at a local train station and then catch a train into the town centre....would be the cheapest and easiest way!

The other problem you will have is getting in out of the town centre during rush hour

There's an abandoned warehouse on Hurst Street which is now used as a pay and display. Think it's about £3 a day but there's a clear display above the pay and display machine saying there's no penalty for not paying. 10 minute walk from the mailbox

Good shout that. I think I've parked around there before when I've been shopping in Birmingham in the past. However, whilst achieveable, I would like to park a bit nearer to the Mailbox even if I have to pay a little bit more. The Mailbox is a not far away from New Street Station, coming out of Victoria Street entrance.

Very useful indeed. Brunel street looks quite near and at £8.80 is cheaper than the Mailbox and the Pallasades.

I'd be happy to park at a local train station and get the train in. Thing is I want my car to go somewhere else Friday night or else that's exactly what I'd be doing. Will be leaving Brum about 3.30 so traffic shouldn't be too bad.

Where abouts on Hurst Street is it? On the maps there looks to be a couple of options, I wouldn't want to be driving around in the morning trying to find it and ending up being late. Seems very odd that there is a sign above saying there is no penalty for not paying...but a good option for tomorrow. Cheap and near =)

Bullring car parks are pretty good. Expensive, but secure and very well lit. I don't think you pay extra regardless of the 3 car parks (Selfridges, Centre or "the other one"), so if you can get in Centre, go for it. Easiest to get in and out of is Selfridges though, and "the other one" is a pain to get out of at rush hour.

Then into bullring, follow signs for the station which will take you into the old crappy shopping centre, and one of the exits is nearly opposite the mailbox.

bullring not that far from mailbox although i wouldnt walk it lol try the red cage where the mailbox car park entrance is look to your right and you will see the walkway bit with lights that look like hemorides under there is a car park so you may get on there depending what time you arrive or the red cage is next door, if memory serves me correctly max would be £8
