Midlands Langar Seva Society (MLSS) are taking over New Street station to provide those less fortunate with a hot dinner and a good time on Christmas Eve again.

The biggest Christmas event for homeless people in Birmingham is back again this year.

Midlands Langar Seva Society (MLSS) are taking over New Street station for those less fortunate to enjoy a hot dinner on Christmas Eve again.

Network Rail are supporting the charity to increase the number of homeless people they dined at last year’s event from 200 to 250.

It will bring people together for a merry night of festive cheer at a time of the year when many feel lonely and isolated.

Last year, each person was provided with a vegetarian roast dinner as well as apple pies and custard for dessert.

There were also carol singers from a Black Country choir and a performance from a DJ as well as the presence of elves and a Santa.

Round tables were covered with donated food and soft drinks, including Christmas crackers.
