Spend a day fishing with him..............you may hate it........but he'd love it.

If he is well enough how about organising a sea fishing trip

    Banned

Get him some new fishing gear or a boat

And agree with Sy & Barneydog

where you living or have you got someone else in family willing to drive, some great places to fish in various parts of teh country if you really wanna spoil him maybe a 2 day trip with a night in b&b for him and willing companion ( obviously them pay for emselves)

Why not get him something to do with fishing or fishing boats?

just a thought, so you could get him a personalised card .... for starters anyway

Need a cake? If you have a nice photo of him when he was out fishing, take it to Asda and get it transferred to a birthday cake... for about a tenner. I got a personalised one for my parents and they were chuffed to bits with it. Lasts for quite a while and feeds quite a few!

Book a table at Rick Steins Restaurant in Padstow .... (no good thou if ur the other end of the country!)

Fishing is about 99% sitting around chewing the fat, 1% actually doing anything!

Go to a canal or river when theres been little or no rain & you can spend a whole day drowning worms. JUST LEARN THE GOLDEN RULE!

Take the sweetcorn out of the tin before throwing it to the fish!

(Pond keepers seem so hot on that. Dunno why!!!!
