Bit of Advice Please Guys and Girls...

I was thinking of getting my boyfriend a driving experience for Christmas, I was looking at the lastminute single rider Silverstone deal for £49.50 but apparently this doesn't last that long. I've come across a 20% voucher for Buy a Gift and was looking at the deals on this page

Can anybody recommend one of the experiences priced £75 or less, I think the Lambourghini looks quite good? Thanks for your help, rep will be added!

Hi, I went on one of these at Donington last year (Ferrari £57 from Buy A Gift), and it is true they don't last very long. I think we had one lap driven in a mini by an instructor, then three laps in the Ferrari, so not a lot of time to learn the track.

Also, there is usually an insurance waiver of about £20 to pay on the day.

I would say it would be better if you can group together with some of his relatives and go for one of the multiple experiences. My mother-in-law had a porsche, Ferrari and single-seater experience which involved an instructor lap in a Mini, then 8 laps driving the Mini to learn the track, about the same in the single-seater, followed by three laps in the Porsche and Ferrari. The Insurance Waiver is the same price no matter how much, or little, driving you do.

Obviously this costs a great deal more for the experience!

Having said all that, this is a gift I would have been delighted to receive from my wife.

    Don't know if that helps.

Thanks for your help...his family have already bought his gifts and this is something I know he would like even if it is a bit of a short experience...hes a 20 year old guy so which car would you recommend? Thanks

A friend went on the rallying one, apparently that lasts a couple of hours, although they're not driving all that time. I've often wondered myself!!

Think I might go for the Lambourghini as they have it in Yorkshire too, I'm going to be very jealous when hes going round the track!

I'd say either a Lamborghini or a Ferrari. More of a supercar than a Porsche.

Hey, he's going to be a 20 year-old guy thrashing a supercar around a race track. Either way he's going to be happy!

If you're going to watch they sometimes have deals available on the day. Take your driving license (assuming you have one) and you might be lucky.

Ooh sounds good and yes I do have a license and if the deals are any good I'll treat him to another one too

    Have fun!

Cheers for the advice Kerri, we've got some mutual mates and I've asked the guys and they think he'd love the experience. Also its not the only thing I've bought him I have got him a wallet some aftershaves some ck boxers and a couple of dvds so he has got other stuff apart from this. Also I thought about an r/c car but hes throwing one out at the moment so no good really. Thanks for the ideas x
