Black out roller blinds

Hi All

I am looking for a couple of blackout roller blinds. I am sure I stumbled across some the other day online that started at around £5.99. I have just taken another quick look and I cannot for the life of me remember where I saw them

I have looked on Housemakers.co.uk but they are fairly expensive.

My little un's strting to drive me crazy thinking its time to get up at 4am aaaaaarrrgggghhhhhh! :w00t:

Cheers guys

Thanks for your tips people. I really appreciate the posts. I am going to take a look in Paul Simon. There is one in Thurrock (not too far from me). Failing that, the Dunelm Mill place looks extremely good VFM.

Thanks again

:-D

Just a quick note. Long time ago, I had the same problem. Spent a fortune on blackout curtains....made no difference whatsoever. But I really hope it works for you!!

Can I ask why you think they made no difference? They don't let any light through so how can they have made no difference? I had some for working nights and they were superb, the room was pitch black in the daytime.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Incidentally OP have you thought about blackout liners for your current curtains?

We use a combo of black out blinds and black out curtains.

I do something similar. I use a blackout blind and then made curtains from two single quilt covers. The room is pitch black even when the sun is shining full on that window.

my windows got 3 curtains on it cause the light shines straight onto my tv if it gets in hehe

Because the little blighter who was 2 at the time woke at 5am every morning...even with the blackout curtains. They worked very well and kept the room very dark...but he still woke at the same time!!

I was pregnant with twins at the time and desperate to solve the problem. He is 22 now

^^Lol so it wasn't the curtains that made no difference it was the little blighter......was begining to think you had bought the wrong thing.
