B&M profiled in the daily mail

They even sell pick 'n' mix!

Bargain store B&M has been quietly conquering Britain - and they want to be the new Woolies

Homeware store B&M has been dubbed the new Woolworths

They sell everything from food, to toys, to bedding - at bargain prices

Jenny Wood visits to see what they're like - and is impressed...

funny after all these years she had never been in one, get ready for next week when she finds out about Home Bargains, they did a similar story about Wiko a few months ago. Reporters salary must be to good to have to shop there normally.

Wait, unless I'm mistaken. The local woolworths near me when I was young was expensive as hell.

B&m is a decently priced discount store. There is no comparing from memory.

thanks thats interesting. Just to warn you that quoting Daily Mail usually welcomes accusations of BNP membership.

If they opened a store anywhere near me I might agree. But taking over isn't not making yourself available to a quarter of the country

Beans noodles and peas? You can probably buy them, but suggestions of needing a membership is ludicrous

woolworths is the right comparison. ...cos they were rubbish.

Wilko are a decent store, B&M is hit and miss and are not convenient enough.

half of the toys are fake .

Aspiring to be like Woolworths is not a good thing, that's like aspiring to be like BHS?

I have no B&M, Home Bargains, Wilkos, Morrissons, Asda, Farmfoods, Heron etc near me

Half the crisps etc are usually out of date. Always reeks in the one nearest me also

Everyone in Pembroke Dock are excited our B&Q shut down in May and our New B&M opens next week.

sickly sweet

Used to work for B&M. One of my shifts, I found a 2 year old tin of soup (at the back of the shelf). oO

I went in the new B&M in Bridgwater recently (that was previously a B&Q as well).
Really nice store, very light and airy and modern, and its huge - the girl on the till reckoned it was the 3rd largest in the country. If the Pembroke Dock one is similar you won't be disappointed.

you both need to move I'm in east London and got everyone of those stores. although my favourite by far is home bargains. haven't been in b&m enough to make my mind up but it's a bit like a jumble sale.
