Hi all,

Both of my parents’ 5-series’ need their cabin filters changing. Rather than having them go to an authorised garage and paying a silly amount I thought I’d change the filters myself, even though it’s not the most straight forward job(annoyed) .

Generally, the ‘airflow’ marking/arrow is meant to point inside (towards the cabin). After undoing the previous filter it shows the airflow marking as pointing outwards toward the engine bay. Is this correct? Or has it been put incorrectly previously? Surely it must face toward the cabin.

Anyone know which would be right?

(Also does anyone know why BMW have TWO cabin filters put together rather than one?! Found that quite bizarre)
