Booking same flight with British Airways / Finnair

Looking to book a flight from Heathrow to New York (JFK) for March..

Finnair have the ticket price as £393 (Operated by British Airways), whilst British Airways themselves have the same ticket for £413.

Being as they are the exact same flight, are there any pros & cons by choosing Finnair over British Airways (aside from the lower price)?

    Thanks in advance

Do they both come with the same allowances like baggage etc?

Yep, because it's the same BA flight, same allowances/charges for everything.

This is probably a codeshare flight. You will solely deal with Finnair, except when boarding and on the plane. This is usually fine but can become problematic when facing a difficulty (think lost luggage). Some people avoid codeshares altogether because of this. The few codeshares I did went fine but they were very straightforward. I suspect if you don't have connections, etc, you'll be fine.

    Great, thanks for the advice.

I booked 2 club world BA return flights to Denver last year with Finnair, the saving was several hundred pounds, for exactly the save service and booking options as booking direct with BA.

I recently did something similar. Just be aware that if your flight is delayed or anything like that then you'll need to complain to the airline that operated the flight, not the one you booked it with.

In essence it won't matter as both are Oneworld partners. I fly with BA on Finnair metal a lot - am doing so on Friday to Helsinki and onto Tallinn. Take the cheapest ticket and enjoy the flight.
