As a registered customer of Borders, you were probably very disappointed to hear the business has gone into administration and may be closing down. We wanted to let you know that although you can't buy online anymore, there are some great offers available in your nearest store with up to 50% off many items. If you're not sure where your nearest store is just click here to find out and visit the store as soon as possible to pick up some fantastic bargains!

We'd also like to invite you to join Customer Club so you'll know immediately if our circumstances change or more products become available. In the meantime, clearance items and special offers will be sent to you through the Club and you'll also be one of the first to hear about any other savings and exceptional deals that you, as a customer of Borders, will have access to. So that we can offer you an efficient service tailored to your likes and requirements, we'd like you to complete a very short survey.

To thank you for completing the survey and as a gesture of goodwill from Borders to recognise your support we'd like to offer you a £40 Virgin Wines voucher. Just click here to complete the survey and receive your £40 Virgin Wines voucher.

I mean really, the carbon footprint of those damn things must be immense, they are produced, then thrown into the bin by 99% of Amazon customers. I think RIchard Branson should fly solo round the world in a glider made purely of virgin wine vouchers, then hopefully he'll crash somewhere in Papua New Guinea

If they made them thinner they could be used as toilet paper. But oh no some bright spark has to nake them glossy don't they? How am I supposed to use that without making a mess eh?

exactly, they are about as much use as a Zimbabwean banknote

Went into the buchanan street store yesterday and my god it was like a crap version of primark with menopausal woman rummaging through piles of abandoned books looking for bridget jones diary or those twilight things yet even with the 30% stickers virtually everything was still way overpriced.

On a plus note I did managed to get a load of preowned 360 games from the game on the bottom floor for a couple of quid so wasnt a total loss.

Cool, the way the email I got sounded I thought there might be a candle-lit vigil with loads of bookworms sitting around crossed logged and crying!. I get all my books from amazon market place second-hand anyway

I was in the Borders shop at Fort Kinnaird in Edinburgh. Most of the books/items on sale were discounted at 40%, plus this weekend a lot of the sections were discounted a further 20% taking the total discount to 60%.

I picked up about 8 books, including some expensive psychology books, all for £70.

Checked the price of the books online and the cheapest buying from several places would have cost me around the £150 mark. I'm well chuffed with the sale.

they also had blu-rays discounted to £6 as well but I didnt buy those :-(
