bought from sportdirect.com can I return to the highstreet store?

I spent £130 and bought tons of clothes about half have issues one big coat smells very bad mouldy, one tshirt is ripped and about 5 other tshirts are too small and one pant of way too long. It says you have to pay to return items even if they are faulty on the paperwork with the order. I will try an email them to ask but I want to try and return tomorrow so I wondered if people have experience of buying online and returning to store? I wonder if they don't suggest this in the paperwork simply to reduce returns?

Before you do either they are not a store that like to refund cash - in any circumstances even though this is illegal.
If the goods you bought were faulty you have a right to a cash refund, if they were purchased online then you have a legal right to return them. The return postage is nothing you can do but look for a cheap courier service and it can be done for under a fiver tracked. I have found this company to have the worst attitude to customers when they try for a refund.

well I have a store in town and I am happy to get credit, so I am hopeful, they could do something

Yes you can return them to the store. You have to take the packing slip or print out your invoice. As stated, they do like to offer credit/exchange rather than refund.

I did this last week, after the items were too small.

In July you couldn't return to store but if you ring customers
Service they will issue a free returns label.
I received a pair of trainers with tags and another pair which seems they were used.

Legally if you order something on line and they send incorrect or faulty goods they are required to cover the cost of returns as it is their fault. If you simply change your mind then you are responsible for return costs but not if the items are faulty as you advise.
