    Brave or stupid

How much intelligence does it take to be a journalist these days.

Take a look at the clip and decide for yourself

    I'd go for stupid

    stupid.
cute, but oh so stupid *sigh*

He was very lucky. Another minute and he would have been cuffed to death I think.
He controlled his fear well, and handled the situation perfectly. The adrenalin and urge to run and climb the fence must have been surging through him!

    idiot! what is the point..

You could see the lion was not exactly relaxed even before the journalist entered the cage. If someone ended up hospitalised or dead from the incident who would have been called to account?
Lion would have been put down as a first thing and it was only acting as lions do.
I wonder whether the journalist was actually trying to impress the lady with him. Think it was incredibly stupid anyway even if he was maybe pressured by the newspaper to do the piece. Should have assessed the situation with more care. Especially as a journalistic career could put him and others in dangerous situations.

BaH, you cry when I tug on yer eyebrow ;-)

I feel sorry for the guy, he was led into a dangerous situation and was seemingly not made aware just how dangerous it actually was. My work means I have to go into the occasional dangerous situation and you must know when to walk away, even if it means you don't get the work done. You can't always trust the people there to look after you.

I agree with you. Someone considering a career in journalism though should be more aware. For there own safety at least. But knowing that they may also be compromising the safety of others

OK so if he was part of your family or someone you knew and the lion seriously hurt him, would you be still calling him brave, animals are unpredictable no matter what anyone says, so it takes a idiot to mess with them..
