try the AA as they cover you not the car, so if your in someone else's car and it breaks down your covered

I have a gold account with Natwest that gives you free breakdown cover and holiday insurance (amongst other things). Yes you do have to pay for the account but I have checked and there is absolutely nothing stopping you phoning up today to change your account - obviously easy if you have another Natwest account but fiddly if not - pay for one month to cover your trip and then phone to go back to your old account without any penalties or payments. I'm saving my Clubcard points at the moment and will get RAC cover through there when I get enough. Hope you have a good trip and that you don't actually need to use the cover you finally get!
ps. Thought you were off to Legoland today? What happened?

Thanks for replies....I'm with Barclays and they dont offer anything like that

Anyone heard of IC Breakdown or RescueMyCar? I have had quotes of £29 and £31 which is huge saving on RAC, AA and Greenflag! Just wondered if anyone has used either of these before

If I'm not mistaken, that NatWest Advantage Gold cover is administered by Green Flag & is the most basic standard cover you can get. Covers you to within about 20 miles of your home only, or something like that, read the fine print!
