    broadband

Hi, i am looking to start a new broadband provider as my sky contract has come to an end. I dont want to continue it with sky so i am looking for other providers and would like to know which is the best provider? I was looking at Vodafone unlimited fibre 76 but am not sure if they are any good. Could someone tell me if they are decent or if there are any other good providers? Also was looking at BT.
    Thanks in advance

    Check out ispreview.

I would put the link, but when I do the HUKD system doesnt like it

You will find every European ISP listed and reviewed by its customers.

Are you wanting broadband or fibre?

The ones that do not throttle or traffic manage are:

    Sky
    BT
    EE (fibre only)
    Talk Talk
    Vodafone
    Virgin maybe?

I posted this a week ago, prices are probably the same.

    Vodafone 18m no cashback = £30.70 per month [£28 fibre cost]Talk Talk 18m … Vodafone 18m no cashback = £30.70 per month [£28 fibre cost]Talk Talk 18m current price increase = £32 per month [£32 fibre cost]BT 12m including £82.5 cashback & £125 voucher = £33.50 per month [£49.99 fibre cost]EE 18m £77 cashback = £34 per month [£36.50 fibre cost]Sky 12m including £82.5 cashback = £39.52 per month [£42.40 fibre cost]Those prices are for the whole 12/18 month contract including connection fee, cashback etc - 76Mb fibre and no phone, tv, mobile etc.

If BT was cheaper I woulda went with them when I was thinking of changing. Talk Talk have **** customer service and frequent internet dropouts. Sky is great just like BT. Haven't tried Vodafone - almost went with them but they wouldn't waive the connection fee.

I want speeds higher than 50mb so probably fibre and am currently with sky. Would you recommend BT? As people say virgin prices increase every few months. Cheers

Every provider increases prices every 4-6 months or so, it's just a fact of life now.

I have been with Sky, BT, Talk Talk and would recommend both Sky and BT.

Price of BT 76Mb fibre right now is:

    £44.99 per month x 12 = £539.88
    £10 upfront

    £132 cashback
£100 voucher (used to be £125)

    Cost minus cashback/voucher = £317.88 / 12 = £26.49/month.

Actually thought BT was gonna be more expensive than that. Definitely worth grabbing at that price!

    Cost of 52Mb Fibre:

    £395.87 - £232 = £163.87 / 12 = £13.65/month. That includes the £59.99 upfront cost (activation&delivery) and after £100 voucher, £132 cashback!

These are for new customers only (have to have not been with BT for 12month) and using Quidco for £132 cashback. Obviously gonna cost more if you want TV or anytime calls etc! And you have to claim the £100 voucher, don't forget that!

ISPs raising prices is great for the consumer. Just give your notice within 30days of the price rise notifiction to terminate the contract early without penalty, then take out a new contract elsewhere and enjoy the joining / cashback incentives that you would otherwise not have been entitled to until the end of the original contract.

From personal experience I wouldn't recommend talk talk, painful customer service , and constant drops in Internet connection especially in the evening, horribly slow speeds. Swapped to BT fibre about a month ago on one of the deals similar to Penguins post and so far no drops in connection, and a smooth change over.

Hi i was looking at the 52mb deal however youve said £132 cash back from quidco, what if they do not accept the cashback claim? Then i do not get the money off! But thanks, still may go for the deal

There's always a risk you won't get the cashback yup! But if you follow the steps correctly you should do. Make sure you turn adblock off if you use it, go from quidco website and not uswitch or any other website and than order as normal. If there is a problem such as it doesn't track, you can put a claim in and they usually fix it for you.
