Just my bloody luck....gone & broken my front tooth in HALF....On some stupid cake.!!!! An it seams every dentist is shut until Tuesday unless i go private an iv not got the £'s for it

An iv still got to work the next 3 nights as well, not had anything to eat or drink yet since i done it. Scared it's going to really set the pain off.

Waiting for NHS direct to call me back to let me know if they can find me a emergency, but not sure if they will or not

Not happy now

There should be emergency dental cover on nhs. U might need to go to your local hospital that's where our out of hours dentist is

Thanks

I had found them but on the website its says Birmingham, but the part of Birmingham im in comes under Solihull NHS & it would be nearly hour n half travel by bus. So i doubt they would be able to see me. But if NHS direct cant find me a local one il prob end up calling them n see what they say

nhs seems abit long in the TOOTH mind the pun hahahahahaha

Tired calling NHS direct back up & they have now said they have gone busy & I could be waiting up to 9pm for a phone call back so it jumped from 1 hour call back to a 4 hour call back.

So I called the number in the link posted & they said call up in the morning about 8.30am & they should be able to give me a NHS appointment.

So guess i better put up with the pain & off to work I go for a 8 hour shift tonight

oh ty warm water/soluble aspirin and swill your mouth well with it? worked for me.

get some temporary filling from a kit you can buy from superdrug / boots etc .
could also try rubbing sensitive toothpaste / oragel / onto tooth if it hurts .

Phoned NHS direct this morning myself after having pain for 3 days I thought I had an abcess as had one before but turned out to be the nerve in my tooth became exposed and causing the pain.

Glad I got hold of a dentist as didn't fancy taking painkillers to ease it until my dentist re-opens on Tuesday but need to get root canal on the tooth as the dentist said he put something in to ease the pain and kill the nerve off and put in a temp filling as be said if it was left any longer it would have got worse.

Cost £17 for the emergency treatment but glad I got it done as the pain has eased a lot but a bit of pain next week in my wallet when I pay £47 for root canal and hopefully get it sorted without too much pain like a previous root canal
