got one, never noticed any difference.

they are free (you just have to pay £1.20 postage which goes to next bill) HERE as long as your a BTBB customer.

It worked for me, i got an approx 2mb speed increase, and arrived in a few days

    nice

Its usually more effective on an older system where the bell wire is still in the loop, if you can get one for £1.20 then you might as well give it ago.

    Just don't expect miracles.

What speed should they expect to get? Have you done a speed check?

no, not done a check, but it takes about 10 minutes to download 5mb. My sky connection does that in about 30 seconds.

Worth getting, no harm installing it, it won't make things worst.

hen i lived in my old place i had one and my speed jumped from 5mb to 6.5. easy to install aswell!

We got one cos we've been on 1.1mb for the past... Long time. Not sure specifically how long. But we got one - it made no difference. Called up BT to upgrade to infinity and they enabled something on our line and now we get the advertised 2mb. Why they couldn't do that in the first place? Don't know...

But yeah, iPlate: made no difference at all to our internet

They probs just decreased the SNR to increase your download speed.

yep totally agree, even when you think it won't make a difference, might even make the connection slightly more stable if nothing else.

Just take the plate off your master socket & remove the bell wire. Takes 2 mins

If you only have the 1 socket in your house, or an older style LJU an iplate won't make no difference and won't work on the latter

The youtube video shows which type of socket the iplate fits into.

Recommended to remove the bell wire from all the sockets, not just the master.

    It's not a guaranteed fix/improvement

Again still no harm done if you remove the wire unless you pull the wrong one.
