Out of 30000 that were sent out an average speed of 1.5MBPS was recorded, excellent peice of kit if you have the right socket, some have said speeds have risen by 4MPBS!!!

It speeds up the internet slightly.
I think it's best to take out the bell wire though.

Is this for BT broadband customers only, we only take line rental/calls with them and use O2 for BB.

You put the i plate on the master socket (as long as you have the one needed) it filters out any interference caused by appliances in the home, giving you better broadband speeds. in a nut shell thats basically it

I cant actually remember, will check tmrw and get back to you. i think its for everyone at least if you've still got line rental with BT.

BT aren't normally allowed to specify whos allowed what, if they offer something it has to be offered to everyone so i assume its for everyone but will double check for you

    Queastion for you Starr..
As I only pay for up to 2 meg from BT, I presume if this plate works for me, it would not give anything over 2 meg, unless I were to upgrade my subscription to the 8 meg.

As stated all BT packages are up to 8 MBPS.... apart from yours you are on a really old plan. you can switch to option 3 BB at a reduced rate of 22.49 per month, which is unlimited and youll get new hub and hub phone, if you get an i plate you wont be able to go past 2MBPS as you are capped, just recontract on the new plan and youll get a lot more benefit, let me know if you want some help as i can do it from work

EDIT that will work out 4 quid a quarter more expensive, you can switch to option 2 for £19.54 a month, increasing your speed to up to 8 and giving you the new hub

    +1.
There is only one socket on these, which is where you plug the filter in as per usual.

Although most people report an increase in download speed...many also report a decrease in the upload.
