Hello Folks,
My broadband supplier is BT Internet. Please can somebody let me know if is possible to find out how much of my 10gb monthly quota I have used on any particular day.

Eg. Lets say that I want to download 5gb of data. How do I find out if that would take me over my monthly limit as I might have already used 6gb worth.

I have looked around in my user account, but could not find what I was looking for.

Looking forward to your answer in anticipation.

BT will email you once you are reaching that limit, you wont be charged for the 1st 2 months only from month 3 if you keep going over.

They will send you email to the email set up when you joined bt internet

Any other probs just ask

Or you can download stuff which sits on your pc then lets you know, google that.

you can't i think. well i'm always on unlimited so no need to check for me. but 10gb is pretty low is yours a mobile broadband? there are programs you can download that records how much bandwidth you use(not before you install) google "bandwidth meter"

10GB is option 1 BB

It depends what you do on the internet which determines your usage.

If its only one pc in the house and user is only browsing web pages then youll be no where near 10 gb

If you are online gaming youll use it quite quickly, ive just downloaded a demo at over 1GB... which is why i need unlimited

You're on a 10gb limit?
Blimey, I d/l more than that in a day

Hi.
Thanks to all of you for your replies.

10gb is enough for me. No online gaming and only download minimal amounts of music.

The dilemma I am in is that a neigbour wants to 'share' by BB connection on the promise of no downloads. Want I want to do, is to be able to check every now and again to see if the quota is going up, so I can find out if they are downloading or not.

Guess it's back to to drawing board for this.

Many thanks again.

Its not worth sharing,

Option 1 is £15.99

Option 3 unlimited is 22.50 maybe if you both pay 11.25 each then you can both use it as much as you like

I do use this.
It is just that there is no option (or I cannot find it) that gives the ongoing monthly download use.

Thanks again for all help.
