Depends how much they upped it by.

They had price increases from April. You would have been notified.

could be wrong but im pretty sure you have 30 days from the change to cancel. Id just call them if i was you. Ive always found them to be pretty sound. Just renewed my contract with them.

If it was to do with the price increase, it was 30 days from notification, so would have expired by now.

    Cant believe this

    Im already overpaying for fibre.

    £53 a month now, jesus.

Wait until you find out you have to pay a termination fee to leave at the end of your contract. Never again with BT on top of issue after issue

You could of cancelled if you got in touch within 30 days of being notified, that window has now closed.
Best thing is ask them for a new promotion, yes it's a new contract but if you're happy with the price and service does that matter ?
There's also free starter TV available at the minute for existing customers, add the full sport pack for £3.50 per month.

I've just found out they didn't cancel my contract even though I moved to sky in march I queried it last month and was told no the cancellation was done and not to worry so id just explain u never got notified as it's very possible they didn't

I've not been notified either. ..

If you joined or took a new promotion after January then you wouldn't be notified as your prices wouldn't of changed.

Ring them up & tell them you have had no notification & ask them to prove you have.

If they cannot prove it then either cancel or negotiate.

It'll show the exact date, time and method of delivery (email or letter) of the notification, so they can show exactly when you were notified.
Getting another deal will be an option though, depending on how much you're paying.

For info: a receipt of postage payment that shows the recipient address is sufficient proof that a letter has been legally served and delivered in the usual course of mail delivery.

No it is not without further evidence. You could post a blank piece of paper.

We are not talking Ebay. We are talking Court of Law & the defence would be "I never received that one notification" which would be accepted by a Judge.

Content precedent of "...unless the contrary is proved..." was sometime during 1980s that I can't be bothered researching; legislation dates back to 1978 legislation.gov.uk/ukp…n/7

Beware I was out of contract and they billed me for £163 ......and it took a few calls to get a refund

BT tried to set me up a Fibre contract without my knowledge. After several phone calls, arguments and a final bill (for ZERO service, because I never ordered internet with BT) I had to resort to complaining via resolver.co.uk, again BT were less than helpful and basically told me "where to go".... I'm now involved with the ombudsman services.

Moral of the story: STAY AWAY FROM BT
