Budget laptop

Posted 3rd Jul 2020
Hi,

I am looking (for several weeks) for a 17.3 used or not used budget laptop. They all seem to be gaming. I want to stream movies before I go to sleep. I have 2 kids so most probably I will be asleep before the movie ends.
I want a FHD display but that’s it. Nothing more. Please advise.

ACER Nitro 5 17.3" Gaming Laptop - Intel® Core™ i5, GTX 1050, 256 GB SSD - £499.97 @ Currys PC World

That was a deal a few days ago. It does say gaming, but it's not a very capable one. Is that out of budget?

Thank you for the advice. I wouldn’t have asked to be advised if any of the daily laptops would be what I am looking for. TVs are immovable.

Thank you. I am sorry I didn’t stated before. My budget (wife allowance) would be less than 400.
This is £399.99 from argos click, same laptop but a returns/refurb for £279.99 click. Says on the Lenovo website that it comes with an IPS panel click.

From the specs:

17.3 inch screen.
Full HD Display.
Resolution 1600 x 900 pixels.

So is it FHD or not?

From the EAN: 193386428558 comes up with this click. It's HD+ 1600x900 and it's a TN panel, so I would avoid.
