Thought this was a nice gesture from the local taxi company here in Newcastle.

How does this work in practical terms? The article says that people will need to pay for their items but delivery is free of charge. So how does that work because I'm assuming the elderly people who'd need it the most aren't likely to do click and collect orders online.
