Business ideas/ways for teenagers to make money

My mate and I are looking to earn a bit of cash and we are thinking of starting up a mini business. We are both willing to put in about £50 each to get it up and running. The only problem is that we don't really have any ideas what to sell.

We are looking at buying stuff and then selling it on ebay or simular but we don't really have any solid ideas.

Any suggestions are welcome and rep will be left for helpful responces.

    Cheers, The JFK

    lol £100 bankroll.

    good luck.

Buy older games at boofairs and E-bay them

There's loads to look out for

No criticism intended here but if people knew of a way which they could make money with starting with £100 i think everyone would be doing it, or if its successful they would keep it to themselves.

    Good luck anyway

Yeah but some people are kind and some people only trade locally so it wouldn't affect them anyway.

LOL. There is a possibility, very slim, but still a possibility:thumbsup:

It might sound daft but what about a car valeting service? Not just washing cars but valeting them. Got a pc and a printer and you could print leaflets and put through doors locally. get a little mini hand held vac and some cleaning products do the biz and leave a cheapo airfreshener in the car after so it not only looks nice but smells nice once finished.

I would prefer to buy and sell stuff rather than do physical work as it takes longer and i don't have much time at the moment.

Thanks for trying to help though, repped.

    No problems just a couple off the top of my head;

    Final Fantasy 7 (PS1)
    Rez (PS2)

Not loads of money in them but as they are for older consoles you should be able to find them for cheap at boot fairs. You would need to write a long list (look on E-bay for what games go for a high price over all the consoles) to take with you though and get to the boot fairs early and have a rummage through the boxes and that

Does it involve Cannabis seeds?

the marketing could lead you to think that but in fact its just budgie seed, hence keeping within the law and raking in vast profits, works a treat

    Cheers Mate.

Well it looks like you have your heart set on buying and selling for ebay so just keep your eyes open for bargains and sell on for a little profit each time.

I don't necessarily want to buy stuff off Ebay, i would consider looking at cheap wholesalers if anyone knows any.

Buy original xbox's mate can be had for £10 and under then soft mod them (5 minutes work and a fiver to make a kit) flog em at £25 BIN price plus £7/8 delivery and people snap your hand off.

Not a good time for ebay, big fee increases and **** feedback system that cripples the seller, plus you now need paypal ( same company same high fees and issues) or it's a non starter.I use amazon and play to shift a lot of stock now and have ditched ebay.

they still around in game n such?

Find an area that you are knowledgeable in, for example xbox games or dvds. Get to know the market and know how much they sell for on auction sites, find out prices in local computer exchange shops like cex. Buy low and sell at small profit. Good Luck

That would have been a good idea a year ago but know i am in Sixth Form so everyone can go to the local shops at lunch.

    David Jones (Dragon's Den)
Jones' business career began at the age of 17; a gifted junior county tennis player, after completing the Lawn Tennis Association’s coaching examinations, he set up his first company, a successful tennis academy at a local club ..... Jones is worth an estimated £150 million.

    Duncan Bannatyne
Born in 1949 in the town of Clydebank, he was raised in a house in Canberra Avenue in a relatively poor family. Told by his mother at the tender age of 11 that he couldn't have an ice cream, he went out and by knocking on over 150 doors built up a newspaper round by collecting 100 names, and bought his entire family an ice cream the following summer ...
After spending his twenties moving from one job to another, Bannatyne lived for a few years on the island of Jersey where he met his first wife. With a difficult business climate for outsiders, at age 29 Bannatyne and his wife moved to Stockton-on-Tees in northern England. Bannatyne's business career began almost immediately with an ice cream van purchased for £450. He soon expanded by buying more vans and eventually sold the business for £28,000, founding a nursing home business instead. He sold his nursing home business Quality Care Homes for £46 million in 1996 and children's nursery chain Just Learning for £22 million ... His current wealth is estimated at £310 million, as indicated in 2008 by the Sunday Times Rich List, which places him as the 296th richest person in the United Kingdom.

    Theo Paphitis
Born in Limassol, Cyprus, Paphitis came to England with his parents and brother, Marinos, when he was six years old. He went on to attend the local comprehensive school in North London where they failed to detect his dyslexia, but began his entrepreneurial activities by running his school tuckshop, at the age of 15 ...
In the Sunday Times Rich List 2008, he had dropped further in ranking to 581st although his estimated worth had increased to £135 million.

Only 3 examples. Hope this will spur ya on ! Gotta start somewhere.

    Thanks for that:thumbsup:

    shot dank?

every1 can go to the shop in my shool no ones gunna stop you but people still buy it it saves them time and even money

Get a CD/DVD disk resurfacing kit, goto carboots/jumble sales etc and buy TV series and DVD boxsets, polish the disk if needed and flog them on Playtrade and Amazon Marketplace. One of my mates does that for a living and makes a good amount per week. He has a contact in the trade that gives him shop returns/faulty disks for next to nothing and sells them on for a nice profit. You can also do it with games.
