Question: Examine two problems that walkers snack foods Ltd might have faced when conducting market research for its new crisps.

Please could you just give me a few problems they could have.

That's good because i haven't a clue what problems they may have had............other than their new flavours were minging. lol

People don't like change as they have (boring) expectations when it comes to crisp flavours.

People think crisps are fatty and unhealthy.

I miss those little blue sachets that gave you the chance of winning money.

Are they asking for objections raised by the public or are they asking problems that walkers snack foods Ltd might have faced when conducting market research

I.e public helping them with an on-line research form can't taste the new product.

In fact market research is usually done before a product is produced, so finding people to taste something they don't have is rather difficult.

This isn't a Walkers question as such - you should focus on the market research part of it and then when answering tie that in with Walkers. . .i.e.

One problem faced was they found it difficult to find a true respresentation of their consumer base; this lead to it being hard to create new flavours which the majority liked.

The market research part is universal and any problem (within reason) can be linked to any business.

I have the 3 business studies subjects at a Higher (Scotland btw)

1. Market research on a 'mix' of people making the data more realistic, and not narrowed to one certain group ie - young.

2. Collating the information in a meaningful manner, and interpreting the results accurately.

Plus the question says examine which makes me think this is a case study question? If so the answer is in the reading. If there's no reading material there then you need to find it
