    Buying a used laptop, what should i look for?

    Hi guys.

    I'm buying a used laptop this week. What should I look for mainly? It's a gaming laptop and seller claims that it's still has warranty (he has receipt) but how can I make sure he hasn't done anything to void it?

    Thanks

    "What should I look for mainly?" A seller you can trust

    Don't know your knowledge of components but I would say, look at the game you intend to play, get the recommended specs off the game, then compare to the specs of the laptop, in most cases you will find its a low end gaming laptop that won't play what you want it to. Sadly so many people fall for this gaming laptop status and loose out. I am assuming you want it for that reason? Also check the specs vs what the receipt says the model is, a lot of people will remove good parts like ssd drives and ram to sell on,

    The specs;

    MSI apache pro GE62 15.6" gaming laptop. Windows 10, intel i7 - 6700HQ processor 16gb RAM 1TB HDD and 128gb SSD nvidia geforce GTX 970M 3gb.

    Getting it for £700. Do you think that's worth it?

    Well it's currently for sale on curry's for £1200, so it sounds ok, I'm a fan of high spec desktops not laptops as I think there all overpriced. If you go for it get a program that will list the specs to make sure that's what your getting, plenty out there.

    Thanks for your response! Helped alot. I just like the fact that I'm able to carry it around and also edit videos wherever I go.

    Just a small point, seems a lovely portable, with the money I saved on the purchase I might buy a decent case/bag to protect it (previous experience etc...)
