Does anyone know who is doing the best deal for buying Euros over the counter at the moment.
I usually buy from M&S but does anyone deal with anyone they can recommend.

Internet is no good as we leave on Saturday.

I use the Post Office for smaller amounts for convenience - never had a problem...

I look on here then choose the best one if I'm getting it offline or online comparetravelmoney.co.uk/

Post Office and Marks & Spencer always have good rates.

I think that Travelex is your best bet. You collect the money at the airport but get a much better rate.

I agree with comments above regarding Travelex. You book online but collect at airport so get to take advantage of good internet rates. They have a best online prices guarantee.

I've used them before with no problems and would highly recommend.

Avoid the Post Office, always lousy rates.

M&S or Travelex are your best options at this late stage.

i've always found the post office rate extremely poor.
I recommend giving 3 or 4 local banks a call and asking what their rate is -
thats what I always do and am always surprised how they can be so different.

Post Office

When I go to Spain (Benidorm) I get them there and always gain €2-3 to the £1

post office always have useless rates when we have looked. for us we've always gone to dawson and sanderson they always have the best rate and if they don't they go that bit better when you tell them what you've been quoted.

some misunderstanding on my part here..... when €1 = 70p, how can you possibly gain €2-3 to the pound, when the exchange rate is only approx 1.41 anyway?????
