Buying my first house - need some stuff to fill it!!!

Found 13th Jul 2007
I'm due to complete on my first house probably around Sept/Oct, so thought I'd get some ideas now!

Basically, I have no idea where to start with the best deals for house stuff, as it's not really my forté!

I've had a look in Comet, Currys etc, along with furniture shops, but I bet I can get better deals online or something!

What I would like though for most of the stuff, is delivery, and with some stuff, installation. Not sure how many internet companies do this?

Anyway, what we need:

Slim TV Unit (For LCD)
Sofa - Not really had any thoughts on this yet, but want modern furniture which is comfortable and will last (both on looks and not falling apart!) - Would need delivery on this'un!
Maybe a Media Cabinet, for stuff like DVD Player, PC, Stereo, to be connected to telly.
Washing Machine - Want a silver one to go with our silver cooker
Fridge Freezer - Want one to match the washing machine if poss
Bed - Probably a divan I guess, as we're limited in space in the bedroom, so need the drawers underneath for clothes!
Solid Chest of Drawers - We have MDF stuff at the moment and it's pap!
Other than that, just the things like curtains, blinds, cookware, toaster, bedding, etc etc etc. Anything else you'd like to add perhaps?

Thanks in advance! (No good at this new home malarky!)

what about the kitchen sink???
TV maybe hanspree 37' I think its £430 from teleland although I still haven't received mine after ordering it 2 weeks ago.

Beds are excellent at costco and they also sell good furniture, nice satin sheets, toasters, cookware etc. They got a massive washing machine for something like £500 that can take a huge load, and also a cheap one last time I was there. Last time I was there they had a huge shed flat packed, not sure if you need one of those.

Currys, comet, dixons, pc world are no different than buying second hand because their aftersales is rubbish.
