    Buying tickets on ebay

quick question i'm thinking about buying a couple tickets of ebay and looking for the safest wasy to buy them. before you say dont buy them, ive made an offer to the seller through a message and they accepted but the auction doesnt end till tonight. so what would be the safest way to pay him so he can send them off today ? would I be protected doing it this way and paying through paypal ?

    Thanks

As per the thread below, pay using Paypal, collect in person and if anything goes wrong, say you did not receive

Oh and if a brick like object coems to you via recorded mail, do not accept it.

    Correct.

Also if you are thinking of concluding the deal outside of ebay then dont for 1 second think ebay will give you the time of day if it goes pair shaped.

The easiest/safest way would be to get him to end the auction and set up a buy it now listing.

    Correct.

Although saying that i can't find it said on paypal or ebay!

How far away is the seller ??

You are getting confused with gift vouchers. Things that are equivalent to cash are not covered........concert tickets are covered under Buyer Protection as long as you use paypal.

The only the time they aren't and where you have to be careful is pre-order tickets where they are so far in advance that your time to raise a dispute runs out.

Yep, Syzable is correct. Concert tickets are definitely covered. Although eBay is such a dodgy place lately, you take a gamble with sellers... And buyers for that matter...

That would indeed explain why I can't find anything!
