Sorry for creating another thread about this but i felt i had to!

On seeing how many people have bought this game i was thinking aout getting my son a copy for christmas. my question is, how many call of duty games have there been before this one and do i need to buy those for my sone to play before i get the new one for him to understand the game?
Thanks

This is the 6th installment.

He doesn't need to understand anything.
You shoot things.

you dont need the other cod games to follow, so i would say go for it he will me happy!

The game's like based on Missions, say infiltrate a base and recover whatever or find this dude and shoot anyone you see etc.

This is a direct follow-up to the earlier Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare title. If you are interested in the plot, then it might be worth picking up that title as well. The gameplay is exactly the same.

is it possible to still get this game for £26 from any supermarkets?

Yes.

I'll have a look in morrisons and tesco this lunch time

I have about £30 voucher from blockbusters, so if they have it there for less than £30 than I'll buy it from there

ok thanks....

The story in MW2 (if it matters) carries on from MW1, which is rather nice actually. But you don't need to have played any of the previous ones to enjoy this one.

There is the option to skip the more upsetting levels, but it is an 18, so if you buy it for your kids and they go off the reservation, please don't call the Daily Mail.

LoooL

It is a skippable level the one in question 'Airport' I won't spoil it for anyone wishing to find out on their own. But its pretty gruesome and disturbing if you think about it (I know its only a game).

Its ok saying skip the level but...seriously think about it ... You are 10 yrs old something flashes up and says 'Disturbing Content, select YES to skip NO to Continue' what are they gonna select...seriously.

I think there are so many parents out there naive to the fact that games are far more realistic now and the blood and violence is a bit more a kin to real life...its a far cry from Mortal Kombat lol I remember everyone was up in arms about that when it came out.... it was PANTS the death scenes in Itchy and Scratchy on the Simpsons were more gruesome.

absolutely. its 100% not a 1 day offer. the game is at £26 till the 15th Nov and the 20% off offer they have on the consoles is until the 17th Nov.

managed to pick up a copy of MW2 at £26 this lunchtime at my local Sainsburys. Only had PS3 left, which was handy given that i bough the PS3 this morning

1 happy HUKD'er here

Quite agree, but unless there is an influx in fanbase for MW2 that predominantly consists of Middle aged women then me thinks there are quite a few young-uns getting their mits on this.
