Calling all Clubcard experts !

Happy new year all !
I've been saving my Tescos clubcard points for ages.

Knowing that the value was going to drop to x3 of the face value in December I traded all of them in for a maximum gain.
The Goldsmiths vouchers I've been sent are valid until the end of May this year..... question is..... would there be any way I could extend their validation as I'm saving for an expensive item and don't want to pay any cash towards it.

I know there are plenty of clubcard experts on HUKD, can you help ?
Thanks in advance !

Unused and in date rewards tokens can be returned to us for a Clubcard Points refund.

Please return to the following address:

Tesco Freetime Limited
PO Box 654
Crawley
RH10 1RG

They would probably re-issue them at only 3 times the value though.

If I was you I would ask any friend's or family for their vouchers or buy some on ebay.

I wont be returning them as Its guaranteed they'll only give me x3 of the value
I've only recently found out that I could use other peoples vouchers to exchange.... I thought I had to earn them myself !!
Friends and family will be the way to go, but only if I cant persuade Goldsmiths to extend the vouchers sell by dates !
Cheers

Don't the vouchers all have to be under the same name in one transaction ?

Give them a bell, and ask if you can exchange them for gift vouchers?? Not sure if this is a possibility, but worth an ask!

Failing that, buy something to the same value of your vouchers, return it and maybe get credit note? Again not sure if this is a possibility, I used my Clubcard Goldsmiths vouchers, but the delivery note/invoice did not say what would happen if you wanted to return your items

Yes, but you can use anyones Tesco vouchers on YOUR account, then exchange for deals vouchers... does that make sense to you ? It confused the **** out of me to start with !

Similar scenario here too, cashed in all my vouchers at 4 times but now have to make my purchase by March, going for an Omega Seamaster but will have to top up with CASH , ha ha , I took the bait and now they gonna reel me in !

Good call, but it's a gamble isn't it...... I stand to lose £ 500 if it goes wrong and I dont want to take the chance..... I'm fairly certain Goldsmiths wouldn't give a cash refund as I'd jump at it !!

Was eyeing up the exact same watch, but really want a Breitling.... check the Oris divers watch, they're very smart and you wont have to top up with so much cash !

Breitlings are very nice watches, oh yes , unfortunately I am after the quartz version Seamaster which is only a hundred quid more than the Oris, at least I won't have to buy a watch winder!

traded mine in for merlin passes

Nothing unfortunate about the Omega, they are proper watches - got a really good weight to them and they look the business (_;).
Will I need a winder if I can manage to scrape up enough for the Breitling ?

They're good value, but only if you live close enough to the attractions to visit them often enough, but I dont

He hates Tesco they have recently built a store at the bottom of his road and he refuses to go in X)

You dont really need a winder at all with any of the watches.
They have ~2 day power reserves usually.

assuming you are wearing every day, if just special occasions store with the crown out.
you inly need a winder if you own several automatic watches that you wear on a regular basis and dont like the hassle of manually winding. They are convenience devices.

Cheers.
The chances of me owning several automatic watches is minimal (unless my numbers come in!) so I can swerve the winder

Yep definitely!

good alternatives is to look at Replicas... There are many extremly high quality replicas now that are pretty close to indistunguishable from the genuines, running movements cloned from the genuines... the watches even accept genuine replacement parts if you were inclined.

The best part is that they come in at £100-£200 for a quality timepiece.
Im about to pick up a very high quality Omega seamaster planet ocean replica for £100 it runs on a slighly different movement, but you could only really tell if you opened the watch up, other than that, one or 2 minor flaws, but a beaut of a watch!

I know what you're saying, but I went down this route before and picked myself out a Breitling Navimeter which decided it was going to fall apart as soon as I unwrapped it.... never again, or was I just unlucky ?

sounds like you didnt get a very good one.
get a rep from a good dealer and they could last a lifetime

Im not happy with Tesco at the min, I have not recieved my itunes rewards??? I traded £25 of clubcard vouchers for £50 itunes, I rang them today as they were ordered 13th Dec I put the delay down to bad weather & xmas etc... they have told me although I had a confirmation email the promo as now ended so i wont get them, to top it all of ive got to make a claim for the £25 vouchers I exchanged. Hence to say they are not in my good books

I know that they won't give a cash refund, but may be worth giving them a call to ask about returns policy on CLubcard vouchers. If they give refunds in the form of credit notes or giftcards etc, it would at least mean that you get an extension on them so you can save for the rest of the product you want.

T'was just an idea, can't see any other way round it apart from putting cash to it, which is what I assume you are trying to avoid!

Hope you get it sorted anyways!

If you were to buy a Seamaster , what colour would you go for....black or blue? I'm 60/40 towards black, I think its more classic

I know it's a toughie !
I'd have to try them both on..... I dont think the black is as common as the blue though, so I might be swayed by that.
