 wii's are great for the whole family

A huge wooden train collection set, with trains, bridges, crossings - you know the kind. And funny enough, my just-turned 7-year old son has been talking about listing his collection for sale. ;-) Santa brought him the bulk of it when he was four and we've added bits and pieces in the meantime. Just saying... :whistling:

Unfortunately they want to play too much.....small bike is not a bad idea. They might not be co-ordinated enough for a scooter (which is another possibility).

How about a wooden train set? they'll happily spend hours laying out the tracks and you can get remote control engines...

Edit - I hate it when I actually agree with Liddle on something.....

tht would be awesome for a youngun, they wont get enough out of a wii imo

I got my little boy a second hand original ds when he was 3 and he loved it so this year he's 4 and im getting him a new ds lite, im also gonna get him some mobilo because he plays with it at nursery and every day comes home raving about it and its a brilliant educational toy to get ther imagination going, i have already decided this year instead of getting him loads of stuff hes not gonna play with im getting him things that uses his imagination, i might get him a multi storey garage with cars ect too, hope this helps a little bit

And you can either buy the brand name (Brio) track or the stuff much cheaper stuff from Tescos (both are interchangeable)

totally agree, trainset is best for 3 and if he's co-ordinated then a small 3 wheel scooter would be good.

I have a 3yr old and bowling is about the only thing she can play on the wii.

My son enjoyed the v smile consol between 3-5 too, that might be good.

Good luck

Yeah, I think so too. Our son spent hundreds of hours making different sets for the first couple of years. Good educational toy too - a Wii would be a very bad idea for a child this young imo.

Elmo Live!

iv got my kids aged 4 and 11 a wii, and to be honest my little boy is a little genius on computer games and stuff, i dunno if id of got him alone one or one when he was 3 but like i said in a previous post he loves his ds ya can get loads of kiddy games for that. my little boy had all the vsmile, leapster stuff and he lost interest after a couple of week.

Probably wasn't thinking of spending that much!!

Aqua draw, my son is five and has been using it on and off for almost three years.

Two front teeth......?

A cardboard box? My 3 year old daughter loves them......

dressing up clothes or
tools/tool box (my 3 year old loves them)

Wheeleybug - could go on about them for ages, they're fab, but it will be easier for your to google it and look for yourself, a great future investment too, my 3&7 year old daughters (plus lots of friends and family) love them.

We've got a Wii but the only game my 3yr old can play is Carnival, she does love it but loses interest really quickly so not sure if it would be worthwhile just yet, perhaps next year?

maybe this pop-up book called ABC3D as a stocking filler.

I have a 3 year old and he is getting this camara because he plays with the one at nursery non stop. Also a ds lite. If you get a wii buy Go diego go safari rescue, Fab game my three year old can do it all by himself, makes him feels very grown up and clever!

there are loads of games for the younger ones, go diego go, mario party, carnival, ea playground, eledees are a few that come to mind. mario party is very good as it's kind of like a board game so gets them used to taking turns... & my boys love the wii fit too  a lot of the games for the younger ones seem to be cheaper to buy too....
