Can anyone give me some advise on selling old vinyl?

I have approx 2000 12" vinyls i need to sell as i am moving. They are mostly house, garage circa 1988-1997 however there are some white labels & promos there as I used to work in a record shop

I live in south east london/kent

You used to work in a record shop, but are asking how to sell records. Wow!

shame to get rid but if you must then contact a collecter usually advertised in your local newspaper in the wanted section. Or take them to a record fair....

Probably coz no one wants them now but in 1990's they were hot!

maybe put the white labels and promos on ebay? and the rest as bulk?

You could try having a stall at a record fair, or contact a local independant record shop.

    got any prince?

For more money, but more time spent on selling - individual... for less money, but less hassle, collection sales...

    As mentioned, Discogs is good.
You could also bundle a load together and sell them as a set on ebay.

And on another note - a pet peeve actually - when exactly did records become known as 'vinyls'?? It's all I ever hear kids say these days. "Wot u into, mate?", "drum n bass, bruv. Got tons of vinyls, innit".
