£250 isn't much for a brand new laptop i'm afraid. Best option is to have a look at Dell Outlet, they currently have an offer on for £100 off any Inspiron.

Link: outlet.dell.com/Eme…NSP

Search by price on this screen - ignore the 8.9in and focus on the 15.6 and they are selling one for £315. Less £100 totals £247 inc VAT & Delivery. Hope it helps.

EDIT: Appart from the one mentioned above i would suggest spending slightly more and going for the EEDWH5ED at £329 as this has a Pentium Dual Core T4200 not a Celeron process as the £315 does.

this one is value for money imo

Very cheap as £100 off, looks as there might also be dvd-rw, just look at specifications....

The £329 one definately has a DVD RW - that is excellent value for money and just above your £250 price.

EDIT: Have a look through the cheaper ones... they mostly have DVD RW.

Sorry with the £100 this is £229 (£100 when checking out - just click the button) + VAT (£229 /100*115) = £263 (Delivery is free)

£13 above your £250. If you can afford it, it is a great deal.

:thinking:well that's what I thinking as well... many available on refurbished. Looking for brand new with at least a year warranty..

So I think the Asda deal was the best deal as the moment

They are affectly new.

"These systems are computers that have been returned to Dell for a variety of reasons.

Dell Outlet fully re-tests all systems to ensure that every part of the system is fully functional and passes our quality control procedures.

All products from Dell Outlet are similar to systems purchased new from standard Dell sources, except that they have been returned, tested and then sold to you at a discount."

Is customer support the same as new?
Yes. We are happy to offer the Dell Outlet customers the same high-quality customer support and lifetime technical support that comes with new Dell systems.

A years warranty is also included. Going to be a lot better than cheaper systems models for the same price.

WOW thats a great deal!
SHame its Vista basic and not XP

Cheers.

They have got some very good deals on their clearance stock and also on their refurbished items. You need to check they are classed as grade A1 though or they may have some damage.
